Most of Cockeysville grew up along York Road and I-83, so a lot of the housing is postwar: mid-century homes and Colonial Revivals where the trim and siding have already been through a few repaint cycles, which makes prep matter more than the paint. There’s also a big stretch of townhome and rental communities around The Lakes and Padonia, where exteriors have to stay consistent block to block and units turn over between tenants.
