We paint homes throughout Homeland, from the Georgian and Tudor Revivals along Springlake Way to the Colonial homes tucked along the neighborhood’s rear lanes. Whether you need a full exterior repaint or a few interior rooms before you move in, we handle the job from prep to final coat, and we work within Homeland’s architectural guidelines from the start.
Homeland was laid out in the 1920s by the Roland Park Company and the Olmsted Brothers, so almost the entire neighborhood is historic. Most homes are brick, stone, or stucco in Georgian, Federal, Tudor, and Colonial Revival styles, with original wood trim, shutters, and windows that have been through several repaint cycles. On homes like these, prep is where the job is won or lost. Painting over aging trim without sealing and sanding it first never lasts.
Georgian, Tudor, Federal, and Colonial Revival homes from the 1920s and 30s, where original plaster, trim, and shutters need real prep before any color goes on.
Homeland's historic district and 1924 covenants govern exterior colors and finishes. We paint within those guidelines and help you stay on the right side of the approval process.
Fully licensed and insured in Maryland, and the owner runs the job on site himself.
Not sure on a color? We'll work through the options with you, including historically appropriate palettes that fit Homeland's homes and its approval guidelines.
Walls, trim, ceilings, and whole rooms. Often a refresh before listing or move-in, with careful attention to the original plaster and woodwork common in Homeland’s older homes.
Siding, trim, doors, and shutters, with the added prep that historic wood and shaded, damp-prone walls under Homeland’s tree canopy need to hold up.
Refinishing the cabinets in Homeland’s original kitchens for a clean, updated look instead of paying to tear them out and replace them.
Offices, storefronts, and common areas along the Charles Street and York Road corridors when a local business needs them done.
Paint Perfection is a small, owner-run Baltimore company that’s been painting since 2020. Eric runs each job himself and stays on it start to finish, so you’re working with the owner the whole way, not a rotating crew. Homeland is one of the north Baltimore neighborhoods we work in most weeks.

This was an easy experience. Eric was responsive, clear, and punctual. The team did a great job and then came back for touch-ups. Place was left clean and work was great.

Eric and his team were fantastic. I reached out after seeing their five‑star reviews, and they truly lived up to them. Eric offered a very fair, reasonable price and even finished the job two weeks early. Everyone on the team was incredibly kind, polite, and easy to work with. The quality of the work was excellent, and I couldn’t be happier with the final result. I’ll definitely be using Paint Perfection again in the future and would recommend them to anyone.

Had a great experience with Paint Perfection! I submitted a request for an estimate through their website and Eric got back to me within minutes (over the holidays no less!). Scheduled an estimate appointment for the day after Christmas. He was courteous, professional, and quick. Got the final estimate to me the same day. Quoted me a fair price and had me on the schedule for the following week. Crew came in and did a great job repairing and painting my walls. Would definitely use their services again and recommend them for your painting needs!

Great job and professional team!
Homeland is home turf for us, and we work the surrounding North Baltimore neighborhoods too.
Tell us what the project is and we’ll get a free estimate over to you.
Yes. Most of Homeland's homes date to the 1920s and 30s, so we prep first, sealing and repairing plaster and sanding down original trim before any paint goes on. We price that prep honestly instead of skipping it, because on homes this age it is what makes the finish last.
Often, yes. Homeland sits in a National Register historic district under the 1924 Deed and Agreement, and exterior changes, including some repaints and color changes, can require written approval from the Homeland Association before work begins. We paint within those guidelines and plan the job around them, but we always recommend confirming your specific project with the Association first so nothing holds up the schedule.
Yes. Shaded, north-facing walls under Homeland's tree canopy hold moisture, so we clean and treat the mildew and prime before painting rather than coating over it, which is why it keeps coming back when it gets painted over.
Yes. We paint and repaint brick and stucco with the masonry prep those surfaces need to hold a finish. On a historic brick home we will also talk you through whether painting the brick is the right call before you commit, since it is difficult to reverse.
Yes, we paint with Sherwin-Williams across the board. It has held up best for us over the years, so it is what goes on every job.
Yes. Our work comes with a one-year warranty, and the specifics are written into the contract you sign.
